You may see every detail that someone could ever know about this song, but, do you see why children enjoy the delicious taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
I'm sorry had to do that xD anyways I really like this, it would be pretty awesome to hear Act2's music as well. c:
Hey, welcome back! (And fixed that for you. =P) But I probably won't be doing anything much anytime soon.

NOOOOO, LOL!!!!
I was going to post my Chrome Gadget VRC7 cover song! If I do it now, it'll look like I'm trying to up-stage your Angel Island cover. Tell you what, if I upload my song, you'll get free publicity, telling whoever listens to my song to go check yours out too.
Hmm... maybe we could do a collab on the Sonic 3&K soundtrack. Hey, how's this: I do the Act 1 and side themes, and you do the Act 2 and competition themes?

Anyway, about the song now, I had to stop what I was doing(watching the X games)... This was really incredible! Very close to the original! I understand that you're shooting for complete accuracy-well, as complete as the VRC7 can be. So, here's something you'll want to take into account(keep in mind, I know these songs by heart, and I heavily analyze VGM channels, so wall o' text ahead):
1.) Starting with frame 04, your lead melody in FM Channel 1 should have some more vibrato(it can be heard, but it's not enough). The last note in row 2A/2B is where you'd hear that vibrato, as the note is being held the longest. This also applies to FM Channel 5, as it is echoing FM Channel 1.
2.) Frame 08, Channel 1, should also have some more vibrato. Not only that but the notes are held a little to long, and it could use another note stop command, somewhere around row C3/C4. Lastly, on this frame, note A#5 should only play three times. The way you have it now, should only be used for frame 0A.
3.)Frame 09 has the same two problems that frame 08 does, more note stop commands are needed, and A#5 should only play three times. It should never play four times.
I'll leave for now(there might be more), but continue to work on this! It's great as it is, now!
Thanks for the compliments! I don't listen to channels individually, but I listen to the DAC, PSG, and YM2612 separately and sometimes listen to dissident93's Bass+Percussion mixes. Too lazy to get the proper VGM plugins. =P
Well, to respond:
1.) I actually had no vibrato except in the patch I was using. Added vibrato.
2/3.) Fixed the notes and added vibrato. But I really have no clue where to add the note releases...
So anyways, 2 songs and a crapton of WIPs added. Help, especially on the drums and instrument #16 (Icecap Intro), is much appreciated.
EDIT: Fixed IceCap bass. Thanks, SoltiW!

A little better, but I just went in and checked it out for myself, and it turns out the patch is quiet-sounding.
A real fix to the loudness of the ice cap bassline that I'd suggest is reducing feedback, taking off modulator rectification, increasing the modulator level slightly, and then turning up the volume of the bass in the first half to D, second half C.
Because you won't get a good bass patch out of high feedback unless you're really good at it, and this is a case where that would probably not fit well.
... if you're gonna change the volume that high, might as well keep the original patch...

All right, both songs have been added and the IceCap bass has been made louder once more.

Sounds pretty good overall, I just don't get why you're using the Kickmaster/ Zombie Nation kick sample when we have access to the original ones from the game, but whatever.
Yeah that was a placeholder as I couldn't get my rip to sound good. Anyways, added your kick rip into the FTM.

A good sonic cover is always welcome in my ftm collection! And this is several! Really good, especially considering you were working with the presets in the VRC7!

Hello! I am making a cover of the Minor Boss theme, and I was wondering since you guys already made all the instruments and have ripped many of the DPCMs, could I add my song to the collection in progress?
