FamiTracker
I'm new here. I've been playing music for a long time and I just recently got into writing 8-bit music. I've been fiddling around with FamiTracker for a few months now and I finally "finished" a song (I might change it later). Attached to this post is a song called Pterodactyl. When listening, keep in mind that I didn't write it for looping, but looping doesn't sound bad.

It has a decent base in terms of melody. However, I've noticed that you're relying completely on the settings you've created for your instruments.
In my opinion, though it's a decent melody, I feel that you could change the song by breaking away from the use of your conventional instruments (for instance, you could sustain the notes you play at certain points, instead of using instrument 00 throughout). But this is only my opinion.
