After messing around some Kirby's Adventure covers I've created, I attempted to create the same style and it sounded awesome, seeing that King Dedede's theme is actually not used in Kirby's Adventure. Why did I feel like I was just doing an accurate remake more than something made from scratch?
As always, feedback/criticism is greatly appreciated.
I found two flaws in my cover actually in which I forgot in the first release:
1) SQ2 should get some more dynamics.
2) The hats are too strong.
I will change them in the final version, along with the complete Kirby's Adventure soundtrack.
As a whole, it's too active. Too much DPCM in my opinion. It drowns out both leads, almost to the point of nonexistence, and the noise by a great deal.
Also, compared to the main melody, the backing melody is WAY too loud, on top of the fact that the DPCM and triangle drown it out to a large extent due to their fixed volumes.
The pluses I give you are the fact that you used the wooden block much like how the tom was used in the original, you made the triangle usage very akin to what a young Jun Ishikawa did by not leaving it in the bass area of the song, and your stylization on the instruments themselves is very correct sounding.
Again, the main reason why I hate DPCM is because of this. The, albeit very fuzzily, "detailed" snares and kicks drown out such a simple soundstage of frequencies, leading to a very cluttered sounding song. Work out your volumes, nicetas!
What's so hard about doing things by ear? I mean, just mute each channel other then the one you're working on and go through the motions on the tracker the way you hear it. It's that simple!

Oh wait, I changed the regional settings so SPCplay might work, but still it won't be any better

Just remember this
Don't think you're the only critic here, nicetas. If I know that the composer/arranger knows how to pull his weight in the right way, I give him everything I've got.
As for your edit, I use SNESamp on XMplay. Does everything I want it to do and more. Though, if I wanted to fall back on SPCplay, I have that too.
