This is my first attempt at super accurate recreation of instrumentation (as per niceta's guide through Anvil Studio). Nicetas, can you let me know if my square instrument is correct, I think I was able to figure out how exactly to break down the correct volumes but want to make sure.

I also know the FDS doesn't have a 33 volume step implemented yet, so I estimated as best I good an alternative for the FDS sound. If I'm correct in my volume endeavors, the correct FDS volume should be
5 7 9 12 14 16 19 21 23 25 28 30 32. Once again, please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for listening.

Ya know, you have made me too proud once in a while... I am very glad to see that someone follows my guide and makes something good. Only that the square lead IS wrong. Here is a complete analysis of the actual instrument in-game: (I'm doing instrument 01 with the first note)

Thus the wave should be 6 7 7 7 6 6 6 6 5 5 5 4 4 4 3 3 3 3 2 3 3 3 3 3 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 1 1 1 1 1 0 (72 0s omitted).


The delay between SQ1 and SQ2 is 20 frames instead of 21 frames, so you have to move everything in SQ1 one row upwards and then put G06 for evrything including note cuts. Also there is exactly one exclusive frame of silence overlapping the first row (therefore the first note on SQ2 only lasts for 112-1=111 frames) but it is difficult to notice the difference.
A small advice though: Put P81 for A#4s. I forgot them in my module although the fine pitch makes the theme way more accurate.


For some reason you made an unused instrument 05. Kinda looks strange.

Thanks a lot for the help, looks like I still have some practice to do. I'll work on it some more later today.

EDIT: Thanks a lot for the help, it does sound a lot more accurate now. I'll read your guide carefully and attempt to create more accurate covers in the future. Thanks again for all of your help, here's the updated FTM.
