I'm new to FT, and I've been messing around with the instruments, but I can't seem to save any of them. I'm using FT .3 on Windows 7. I searched forums and nothing came up. Has this bug happened to anything else and/or is there a known workaround?
Did you name your instrument in the file? You have to do that before you can save the instrument and name it. There should be a small box under the voices section and that's where you name your instrument. Then you click save and you can name the instrument there too.
Voices section? For example, I have my instrument named such that in the instrument viewing panel it appears as 00 - Snare and then below that panel to the right of New, Open, Save, etc Instrument buttons in the text field it also appears as Snare. And when I have the save dialog box it also shows the file name as Snare when I attempt to save it. However after saving it, nothing is saved in that directory that I choose.
I believe that this is a bug that was mentioned before. You will not be able to save in any directory other than the one that Famitracker v0.3.0 itself resides in. Try saving there and it should work.
*NOTE*
This bug was said to be fixed in the next official version. I wouldn't know if it still exist in the BETA, but I wouldn't doubt it.
