Hello!

When I've listen to unofficial NES music, I envy the composers because those are good ones. So i tried to search for NES trackers and those I've downloaded look messy and confusing until I've found FamiTracker and especially a tutorial for it. It made me understand the functions of NES music composing so I did some small tests and the NSF compressing worked like a charm. I just need to tweak the length per notes to do perfect.

And bonus is that I have AnvilStudio (free Midi composing/editing program) and Adobe Audition (commercial Sound Editing program), wich means I can make my own DPCM samples.

I just want to say that I like FamiTracker very much. If i would make a game with an 8-bit style, this tool would be perfect for me when I want to make 8-bit music.

And I also have a question. Are you planning on adding support for external sound chips (such as Namco-106, Konami VRC7, Sunsoft FME-7, FDS Sound Chip)?

Anyways, here are some NSF:s I've composed:

Hi!

I'm having trouble with FamiTracker playback being somewhat corrupted or whatever.. The instruments aren't played when they're supposed to be played... Everything quality-wise sounds like it should.. But the timing is off. What should I do?

Why didn't you make a new thread instead of posting in an unrelated thread?

Anyhow, I am seconding the love. After a bit too much Nerdtracker, I was ultimately overjoyed when this almost-flawless tracker came to be. Totally awesome. You rock!

Keep it going!

'Tis a great bit of software .

I believe (and indeed very much hope) that expansion chips are planned sometime in the future. Really looking forward to that.

Hello and thanks! It's always nice to see new people discovering NES music. =D

I'm going to add support for all expansion chips, but it's going slow at the moment. I have VRC6 almost done in the tracker right now, but it has to be added to the NSF code and that will take some more time.

Guest: I'm not sure exactly what you mean, could you provide the file possibly?

Famitracker is great.

Since I don't have much time to code anymore, Famitracker became my favourite tracker quite fast. It's totally intuitive and userfriendly, but has the capability of handling complex sound envelopes and such.

In short: Keep up the good work!
