I've just started using a tracker so I'm not particularly good at this. Hopefully I'll learn to better use this and create better songs.

It's still a very good start, as far as I can see. Learning to use a tracker is pretty simple & it only takes time until you become comfortable with using it. For the rest of the quirks in FamiTracker, it involves looking at the works of others as well as checking the wiki & forum.

Overall, it's a good tune; an excellent melody that flows seamlessly & harmoniously. However, you've made a slight mistake which I actually made as well when I first started with FamiTracker; you used a volume fade for the triangle channel.

The triangle channel can only go from maximum volume to being totally mute. All other volume ranges are taken as maximum volume. In this case, you simply need to open instrument one & uncheck the volume box.

In the meanwhile, I'll have a listen to the original song from the game & I'll also try to see how it can be improved. But all in all, you've done well.

This isn't so much a cover as it is a song using the original FF theme.. it's not bad, some of the chords could be reworked though, still a good start for a beginner!

The triangle sounds a little off, but otherwise good job

It might be a good idea for you to read the date of the last post in each thread; many people here frown upon posting comments in old threads that don't add any new information.
