I know I asked this before, but I want a reply from the boss himself, jsr to answer this because he only knows. Will there be N106 support in Famitracker in the future?
Thanks

Yes all expansion chips will be supported. The N106 emulation code is already done and added and can be used once the custom instrument code is done. It's gonna happen after the 0.3.5 release, probably,

Doommaster1994, you're not the only one...
jsr, I am giddy with anticipation. It's really nice of you to include the n106 in the final 0.3.5 (if that is what you are implying, I hope).
Now the only chip left is Sunsoft's chip, I guess.

Hopefully, "coming soon" does not have the same meaning as it does on movie trailers. (i.e. in the next two years)

Genius never follows a deadline. ^___^
However, jsr has been pretty timely with his releases. It's just other things have come up. He's somewhat freed up now.

I don't know what the fuss about n106 is, probably just because I don't know what the N106 sounds like. What does it sound like?

N106 gives at most 8 additional channels as I know of. Add 8 to the number of channels with 2A03, and we get a whopping amount of channels.
Yes, 13 channels available at the same time (if I am not wrong), making it seem to be a shame that SNES, GB and such do not have extra sound chips...

Can someone give me an explaination of the channels in the N106?
EDIT: Actually, SNES has extra chip compatability, but barely any games for SNES take advantage of that, and ZSNES is the SNES emulator available that emulates it still if there's extra chips required, because it has compatability for almost all add-on chips. Mostly just the graphics and RAM add-on chips.

N106 is like 8 FDS channels without the FM stuff and shorter wavetables.
