I'm making a cover of [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqrFVoyq5yE]this song, and for some reason, I can't get the volume right at all... it just sounds like a mess! I like the way the drums turned out. I ripped them from the game and converted them to 16 bit PCM... for some reason, that works best with FamiTracker. Anyway, it's really messy right now, I just started on it, sorry about that.

I hope this helped out a bit. Check out the attachment; I added some volume envelops (which I hope improve the song to your taste) & toyed around with the instruments.

It's been done in FamiTracker 0.3.0 because I initially suspected a bug in the beta (& I was wrong about that).

The reason why you were having problems with volume is because your VRC6 square volumes were set to their max before fading. I solved it by setting the volume of both channels to 8 (but you might want to change this).

The pulse width of the VRC6 instruments also have an effect on the volume of the lead themes; that's why I added new instruments to work with the sawtooth wave's volume envelops I've set.

I hope you like it.
