you can just convert the numbers after the "F" command (which are hex, or course) into decimal. If I'm not mistaken, it uses the same speed system as the one you set at the top of the screen.
Example:
Thanks for that, I managed to change tempo, but now there's something else I can't figure out. Are you able to change the volume on the Triangle duty? If so, how? Exx and simply changing the volume in the volume column don't work.
No problem. There are however effects you can use to change the volume mid song. There should be a thing next to the note that is one square. There you can change the volume from 0 to F. Sounds confusing? Here's how it works:
A to F is really 10 to 15 in hex. 0 means no sound at all. The triangle channel though since it can't have it's volume changed won't work for that. Instead you will have to insert a Note Cut to stop the triangle channel from playing.
Yeah, I figured how to change the others volumes, I was just a big dismayed when I found I couldn't change the triangle channel's volume. I made only one other song where I messed with the volume and of course it featured triangle and then and then the noise and square channels leading in, so I didn't expect it to not work at first. Thanks for your help, though.
Triangle channel has no volume control, because it uses the volume to produce triangle waveform.
There are a way to slightly alter volume of the triangle, though, because DPCM output affects to the triangle and noise volumes. You can change DPCM output directly through [url=http://famitracker.shoodot.net/wiki/index.php5?title=Zxx]Zxx effect.
96 in hex is the same as 150 in decimal. your computer's calculator should be able to make the conversion between the two. if not, there's some online one's too.
basically, find the tempo/speed you want in decimal, then convert it to hexadecimal and that's what you put after "F".
If you're using Windows, you can open the calculator & change the layout from Standard to Scientific. Then, type the decimal number (which is the BPM or tempo value) & click the HEX radio button near the calculator's display.
