tried my hand at Wily Stage Boss. If the instruments are "wrong" then you can correct them. Which "duty cycle thing" are you talking about, by the way? there are like 15 songs in that file (and i used a good chunk of duty cycle effects that, yeah, capcom didn't use).

For example the ones that use duty envelope 2 1 right after the Capcom logo.
Oh. The gameboy games (3-5 mostly) do that sort of thing that go 0 1 or 0 2 a lot, so that's why I did that.. even the 2nd boss theme in MMIV does 2 1 Wily Castle 2 whores that out a lot (it tries to sound a bit like several MMV songs but changes it up a bit).
If you feel like going outside of that, I don't mind. Those are basically the bases to work from for the noise I guess.
I mean to freeze the arpeggio sequences like using absolute offset as in this version.
...which is most likely not a very good idea, but it is true that such feature is hidden in the latest beta (and probably in the coming stable release as well). It requires HEX EDITING though. Its main use is to keep things clean from going to the 90's (MM3-6 are released in that decade).
Also, I saw two numbers for those percussion instruments. What does the one to the right of the hyphen stand for?
God damn, I'm so glad this track could be in the game. One of my favorites from you.
Updated the main post, and added a few fixed regarding unnecessary effects, volumes, and instrument commands. Also added something to Square 2 on frame 09 to enhance the tempo.
Nice work once again Rushjet, very pleased to see this make the cut.
EDIT: With the release of Famitracker 3.5, SXX doesn`t halt all effects anymore. I`ll have to fix the .ftm later too accommodate this, and save file size.
nicetas, I don't know if you've done this already, but I've updated Wily 1 to be compatible with Famitracker 3.5. The SXX effects don't cancel effects anymore, so the triangle channel had 210 applied to the whole thing. A few vibratos led on longer than they were supposed to as well.
