Really liking how it's shaping up so far. Certainly have learned how to exceptionally carry the Mega Man style, Mex.

I like the inspiration drawn in the Endless stage. Almost like an homage of sorts.

- The intro tracks seem to be a mix of MM9 and 10. Stage select is clearly MM10 style. Not bad, but some music parts sounds... random.

I'd have to say that after listening to the ftm a bit I'd have to agree with this somewhat. The melodies at times don't have that clear of a direction... Then again, that's not all too easy to pull off with Mega Man themes simply because of the style.

I guess trying to simplify the leads to some extent and seeing where it goes from there wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

Which songs are you referring to? Intro 1/2 are my work so far, Kevvviiinnn did Wily 3 and Mex has credit for the rest.

I think your right as far as the boss theme and the stage select theme go, the melodies are a little bit random. I'll try and spice it up a little.

@danooct1 One that stands out would be the Boss theme. I know it's a WIP, but the lead's a bit sporadic. That's not to say that the background doesn't sound nice, it does. Just needs a melody that's easier to grasp.

Hell, I know I'm guilty of it all the time. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many songs I've scrapped because I tried too hard when it came to the melody. And, even though I'm not particularly "wild" about MegaPhilX's themes, he did put out some good advice in one of his comments when it came to leads. Take a good look at the backdrop and at the same time you're listening to it hum a melody in your head that sounds appropriate. Maybe do a double-check of it, test it out, and if it doesn't suit it just repeat the process.

Well, that was extremely tangential on my part, but I hope I've put out a reasonable two cents.

For the boss theme.. it doesn't like a boss to me, it actually sounds like a wily stage or something maybe. It starts all cool but then turns into level music much like Mega Man 10's did.

Wily 2 is ok, but the pitchbend is a bit heavy, plus the arp sounds out of place.

Stage select is fine.

Wily 3 is fine as well.

Seems this thread is a tad old, but it's the appropriate place to put this (and we might as well try and get the ball rolling since I'm pretty sure there's a couple new themes anyhow)!

I was asked by CadmiumRED to make Sprint Man's theme and I was fine with it, so I just added it onto the ftm!

Three tracks I'm still refining in Famitracker (mostly percussion) so the final .ftm won't be available for awhile.

http://www.mediafire.com/?mjo3d2zq1iqfhyd

also started redoing the whole soundtrack in a new .ftm with better instruments and a lower filesize, so i'll attach that as well.
