No, there are only optimizations - the song itself has not been changed with the exceptions of converting Axys into channel volumes and changing certain 4xys into instruments.
Oh, my bad then. Also lol you and 4xy effects.
Also, seeing as copyright information is involved I completely understand the whole MP3 recording thing. Moving on.
Added WIP Intro 3
Added WIP NC Flood
Made some changes to Get a Weapon
Added blank Wily Cutscene (i.e. the track for the cutscene, if any, that you get after defeating all eight robot masters and before heading into Wily's Castle)
The bigger update this time is to retrieve SOME songs. Also note that some tracks contain different versions. This includes:
Flood (NC, Dan)
Gryphon (RJ1, Kev)
Mage Alt. (Dan?, RJ1)
Boss (RJ1, NC)
Wily 2 (w/ or w/o changes in SQ1 Pattern 03)
Wily Capsule (NC, RJ1)
Feel free to retrieve the rest of them, all of them might have potential someday.
And it seems that progress on the soundtrack is going way too faster than the other stuffs.

Not really. Sprites are coming along quite well, and my roommate is working on the engine which is coming along very quickly.
Also, both of those Gryphon Man songs are by Kevvviiinnn. Cadmium and I feel the latter one should be in the game since it's more action-y, and it's the one both Rushjet and I made edits to.
I've noticed many duplicate themes, and choosing just one is way too hard for me.
So, I've come to a conclusion.
The Japanese and American release of the game will have slightly different soundtracks. Somewhat like how the Tengu Man theme in MM8 is completely different on PSX from Saturn, or like how the intro theme in MM6 is different than the RM6 intro theme, I think this would work the best. It's hard to please everyone, but I think this comes close to it, and I don't want to leave hard work unused.
PS: nicetas, the endless snare sounds really loud and odd now, might want to look at that.
I'm gonna propose something else. Instead of putting new versions of the large file, if you edit songs they should just be posted as single songs. Just get the big file, edit a song, and delete all other songs. This will make importing songs very easy instead of having multiple copies of large files to sort. Just let Mex update the original post with the new tan_X revisions.
Another major update, this time splitting those tracks into separate FTMs as suggested by Rushjet1.
Seeing that the progress on music is really going fast, I call it cotangent now.
Note to all composers: Whenever a different version of an existing track is created within an update, remove the song from the main FTM and then put all the versions into the folder mmtt_residue. Rename the song under [Module] --> [Module Properties] to the main FTM's filename at that time (cot_1.ftm in this case). That will become a 'last revised' tag.
And here is a more updated track list:
CAPCOM INTRO 1 INTRO 2 INTRO 3 INTRO 4 TITLE MENU STAGE SELECT GAME START FLOOD NOVA GRYPHON MAGE MAGE ALT INTRO MAGE ALT KEVLAR* SPRINT AUGER* NEURO BOSS STAGE CLEAR GET WEAPON SHOP WILY CUTSCENE WILY CASTLE WILY 1 WILY 2 WILY 3 WILY 4 WILY BOSS WILY MACHINE WILY 5 WILY CAPSULE ALL CLEAR ENDING CREDITS SPECIAL ENDLESS GAME OVER
