How do I open it? The hyperlink is just a redirect link to the forum index.

It is problem with the forum itself. Copy-paste it instead of clicking.

If my website weren't shut down, I would have actually asked your permission to mirror your tutorial.

Er, this is probably the wrong place to ask, but what happened to it? I noticed that in you're signature, but I don't think I had a chance to see it before it was shut down... (I'm guessing you had the link in your signature?)

I simply had a site with stuff on general hardware & software stuff (like building a basic NES cartridge dumper, dumping TI-8x calculator ROMs for Virtual TI, my own fork of the NES emulator Nessie & other things).

It was shut down without notice by the host, sadly (but while it was up, I had my own free domain, www.techemporium.info, no bandwidth-throttling & no specified limit to my account's web space). I'm very sure it was shut down because of how anal most free hosts are when it comes to such subject matter.

But enough of my problems. what patters is that apricorn's tutorial's up & running.

Hehe i bought a domain with some money i made from chiptuning for an iphone game thats coming soon. www.apricorn-music.com

I looked for ages trying to find a good free domain that wasn't .tk or .co.nr or another subdomain. Where'd you find a .info domain for free?

So it finally works with IE8!

I found a mistake:
(you can put as many instruments as you want in here)
There is a limit of 64 instruments in FamiTracker.

Seriously?

I had no idea you were limited to only 64 instruments. Then again, I guess that's why FamiTracker allows so many effects that are otherwise achievable with an instrument's settings.

It was actually donated by a member of the vNES forums. Apparently, he was involved in some online advertising promotion that gave him extra free domain names for all the hits he makes. He didn't know what to do with them all, so he donated a bunch to different people who were interested (including me).

But yeah; I wouldn't care about having a subdomain name, as long as the host doesn't impose any space/bandwidth limits or plasters any ads/pop-ups on my site (that pretty much rules out 99% of them). :P

Bump-idy-bump.

My website's back up & I've mirrored apricorn's tutorial.

www.stlflops.com/techemporium/mirrors/gigabyte.html

I know it's not pretty, but it does the job (& what more could an anal web admin ask for than 100% compliant HTML & CSS code?).

Props to apricorn for giving me permission to mirror it.
