I've had a song I've been working on for some time in NT2, before I ever found FamiTracker, and I want to continue working in FamiTracker, since I can do more with that than NT2. The problem is, it's going to take a hell of a lot of work to get back to that point, and I'd rather not do said work. If there isn't some conversion out there already, could it somehow be implemented into FamiTracker? Thanks.
I do not know of any conversion utility, and it would probably require lots of work to do one so I'm not sure if I will put much effort in it. Maybe if there are more requests.
i second the request for NED conversion... i kinda hate the fact that i do have some songs in NED format... i wish they were in FT format so i could add them to a multisong without much hassle... at this point i have no clue how i could add them together into one NSF
When you save the stuff you can specify several files (you have to rename each file after you make it in NT2 to keep it from overwriting them) in a certain list file... It's documented I think... Wait, didn't I already say this?
it looks like nensondubois' and strobe's avatars are having a fight.
erm, anyway...
i would have thought conversion from NSF to fami was impossible, since all the fami instruments and effects and the like are "flattened down" when one exports an NSF, aren't they? like if you were to reimport it i'm guessing you might be able to get fami to support putting notes on a grid, but not a lot more. shrug, that's my hunch anyway.
Hey strobe, would be funny if you succeed. :D
You might have guessed it, but the file description is in the source. Ask if you get questions. =)
I looked at the NED format once, but never figured out how it worked.
Dave: NSFs from Famitracker is possible to convert back to FTMs, the only thing that disappear is instrument names (and possible reordering of instruments & sequences). Other NSF formats won't work.
