I thought I'd try "remixing" one of my older songs with the VRC7 sound chip and this is what came out... Can the NES really make these kind of sounds??... The song is Cold Man's stage from MegaMan and Bass. Also, the song itself isn't 100% accurate, since I did the original version by ear.
(You can only open this in FamiTracker 0.3.5 Beta)
EDIT: I just updated the file.
- Drums now sound more like the original.
- Guitar is closer to the original.
- Bass Guitar made a bit more quiet like the original.
- Echo track that I didn't know existed has been added.
- Random tweaks all over the place.
Ah! I never got to reply to the last comment you made to my Oedo (from Mystical Ninja) cover, and I didn't want to bump it. So thanks for the compliments on both songs :P.
I never could understand how you got the custom instrumentation to work. As far as I can tell, whenever I try, Famitracker kinda ignores any of my settings. That being said, if I took your mod and simply changed from "custom patch" to "patch 2", then back to "custom patch", your instrument stops working as well. Very odd.

As long as he never puts instrument 02 and instrument 09 together (they are the custom instruments), nothing will happen. If one tries to put them together, one of them's instrument settings will overwrite all the others at the moment.
