A new song of mine. It's been a while since I posted anything here and I've been working a lot with FT lately. I played this song at my school and people seemed to like it. Hope you like it too!

(The name is an inside joke)

Catchy and awesome! I love how you use three channels in unison to produce that sweet bass sound.

This song makes me smile.

I guess I can say there is some improvement over previous songs.

Still too much randomness in melodies, so I guess you should focus on this. It is somewhat like sculpture - take a stone, and cut everything that unneeded. Typical problem at this stage is when you putting too much notes, thinking 'there is too much empty place', but they are actually unneeded. So when you think up some more or less certain melody, try to delete some notes from it and listen, it could get better (or not).

Other things which you should start to learn are difficult for me to write down, so check attached file. In short: portamento and vibrato could add some expression, echo could add some depth, harmonization could add some.. well, harmony.

While they are somewhat repetitive, I am actually quite fond of some of your songs.

The only thing that the song needs, as Shiru said, is syncopation.

The general tune & beat is pretty good for both songs, but I say the song "Kittens Die When You Smile" has a better amount of syncopation.

This is partly due to the removal of some notes in each frame, as well as the addition/removal of different sound effects.

Just as Shiru said, you should look at portamentos, vibratos & echos (the echo is in frame 3 of his attachment; it's done using volume control & offsetting the audio in one of the square wave channels).
