There is already one Rockman 7 FC fangame over the Internet, but I'm not going to rip the songs from the game, instead I come up with my own composition.
This project will be quite massive, but I'll try my best to complete it as soon as possible.
Finished covers:
Capcom Logo
Intro 1
Intro 2
Title
New Helmet?
Stage Select
-----
Bass & Treble
Stage Selected
Blast Man
Power-Up
Megaman Jumps
Uncharged M. Buster
It sounds weird sometimes that the triangle is the drums for every song. Maybe have the noise channel accentuate the kick / snare more for some songs. Also you could use DPCM but you seem to be specifically avoiding it for now, so I won't suggest that you DO use it :P

The drums and the cymbals are seperated into two channels in the SPC, but I can rip out the samples directly from Mega Man 7 and use them as DPCM samples.
I agree with rushjet1, don't use dpcm since you haven't, it would just sound weird now..but only using Triangle for drums is weird too, you need to add to the sound...use the noise channel if you can. At least it will give it that crisp snap sound at the beginning of the snare, etc.
