FamiTracker
When I try to open an .ftm file from Firefox, it only gives me the option to open it with Finale '97 (the newer versions changed their .extension to .mus). Every time, I have to select FamiTracker from "Browse..." but it won't give me the option to save that preference; every time I try to open, it tries Finale 97 as its default.
I can't figure out how to change the darn thing. Any suggestions?

Then, go to the Content tab &, under the File Types heading, press the Manage button.
Check if the FTM file extension is in the list &, if so, select it & press the Change Action button.
Lastly, click on the bullet that says Open them with this application, press the Browse button & search for FamiTracker.

If that didn't work, open Windows Explorer (just open any folder,) go to Tools --> Folder Options, click on the File Types tab & search for the FTM extension.
Then, under the heading Details for 'FTM' extension, press the change button, press the Browse button in the next window & search for FamiTracker.
Lastly, save those settings & restart the computer.

Then that means you installed Finale after you ran FamiTracker for the first time.
In that case, open Windows Explorer (just open any folder,) go to Tools --> Folder Options, click on the File Types tab & click on the New button.
Then, type the letters FTM & click OK. Then, search for the FTM extension & associate the file with FamiTracker (as I've stated before). Once all that's done, restart the computer & it should work.
