Honestly I have yet to convert anything over to the "PRG-ROM files that can be burned directly on a 32 kB ROM" yet, as I have just started playing around this Tracker. I do have a question concerning the PRG-ROM data though, and I assume given the relative "newness" behind the feature my questions won't be too dumb.
Is it possible to dump multiple songs in to the PRG-ROM files? Is there any plans to allow someone to throw up a simple interface and some basic graphics to switch between tracks? Effectively I'm wondering if it could sort of be rendered like a sort of musicdisk. Along the same lines I'm interested in knowing if the PRG-ROM data can converted in to .nes files easily for use with emulators.
Concerning the expansion chips that may be added in future releases, will these be features we will be given the option (if we desire) not to use when composing a new track?
Thanks in advance- and much thanks for building such an awesome program. You rule!
That PRG option was mainly added for those who have devcarts that are 32 kB NROM compatible. It's not possible to have multiple songs in a NSF or PRG file now, but I'm working on that.
Just add an iNES header with mapper set to 0 and PRG banks to 2 and it will be usable in emulators.
