I love how my fingers make songs that do not coincide with what is actually happening in the world. This song is especially strange, as (even as a child) I hated winter. Considering I was able to make a fun sounding song for a season which, in my opinion, is not, it quite an achievement. Even if it is only a short loop. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the song, or have added onto it, please post below.

This is a very catchy loop! I like how a lot of your rhythms compliment each other!

There are a couple of things I want to point out, though:

- To me, it sounds like the song fits more of a farm or lighthearted area. I'd suggest more "crystally" sounds or other icy/snowy instrumental elements (maybe Jingle bell on DPCM?) to make it a bit more snow-themed

- When using 2A03+MMC5, try to stick around volume levels 4-5. By which I mean, count the green squares right under the channel as the song is playing (or press CTRL+Enter to play the single row [and F8 to halt it]) Not only does this let your Triangle and DPCM stand out more, but it also lets you get louder if you need to.

- Your bass (the low notes playing on the downbeats on MMC5 Pulse 1) is a bit too high, clashing with other parts of the song. I moved it down an octave, then transposed the whole song up to the key of F Major, because the pulses can't hit super low notes (Well if you switched to VRC6 it might actually be possible without changing the key, though I haven't tried it)

- It sounds like you're throwing a shuffle-beat rhythm (2A03 pulses) over a dominantly common-time (4/4) song. For the most part you'd be using Gxx to emulate triplet rhythms, and your song seems to manage most parts without it. However, there were a couple of notes I added Gxx to so it sounded more natural. I also removed some notes on the 2A03 pulses because I felt it clashed with the overall rhythm of the song (by which I mean the rhythm of all the channels combined, and not just the drums)

If you need anymore help with triplet rhythms, I've attached a second FTM to demonstrate it. Sub-divide in your head more! Think about the rhythms that would play in-between each note during all those rests/held notes!

Hope this helps, and keep at it! I already hear significant improvements from your previous song!

Speaking of this, a fun trick you can do with the Noise channel is, when playing an E or F note, throw in some duty cycle 1 for just a few engine cycles (see attachment for an example).

I actually took what you did with the song, changed it a bit, and extended it to make it more interesting. Check it out!
