Honestly I feel like we should either have a subforum for this sort of thing, or else a few occasional ones started by more experienced, credible users, with clear themes and guidelines.
To have a sort of informal community project with no attached ideas or themes seems kind of out of line for the "show off your work" section, because people should just be making their own threads for things they've individually completed, and no one can really make a song with the sole purpose of adding it to a collaboration that has no theme.
If anything, it's an excuse to upload work that you don't consider good enough to have its own thread - and that sort of stuff shouldn't be being uploaded [i]anywhere,[/i] period. As has already been established.
The whole "dumbcomp" thing was cutting it close enough, but to just say "here, instead of putting things in a thread just attach them to this" makes no sense.
Excuse me if I'm overstepping my bounds by writing this kind of thing, I understand I'm no "official authority," just trying to make some sense.
