Well, tried making something Follin-like, and I failed pretty misserably, but I did manage to create a pretty cool-sounding track in the process.
Any feedback and criticism is of course very much appreciated!
The cool effect in the beginning of frame 0A is from Radnyx, so credit to him for that.
Update: I changed a ton of stuff!
A rundown of the changes:
-Changed speed in the beginning to 3 (Thank you recolorme! )
-Added Radnyx's Follin-ish drums (Thank you Radnyx! )
-Made and added Follin-ish drums with a shorter Hi-Hat
-Edited the cymbal
-Fixed the time-based commands in the beginning (Gxx and Sxx) due to the new, faster speed
-Added a smoother transition between the two different speeds
-Changed the triangle snare to be a slightly lower pitch everywhere (Thank you Radnyx! )
-Cleaned up some useless effects
-Added A00 where it was needed
Another Update:
A rundown of the changes:
-Rebalanced the voume (Thank you Radnyx! )
-Added a missing A00-effect
-Added a version of the song with the old, slower beginning to the FTM (Thank you Dwedit! )
The best I can recommend right now is to keep studying Follin's works, and your understanding of his style, as well as your ability to recreate his style, will immensely improve.
There were parts of the sound design you got right, and some you didn't. The most detail I'll go into as far as that is the drums could definitely use some reworking.
One suggestion I will make is that for triangle drums, you should use fixed arps. In fixed arps, each step plays the pitch its corresponding step is assigned to regardless of what key you pressed. When the sequence ends, the next note will return to the pitch corresponding to the key you pressed. In other words, fixed arps allow the drums to be monotonous no matter what key you press.
Actually, it does sound a lot like Follin. Nice job!
Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback! I'll make sure to try to cover some NES-music he made. And I know the drums kinda suck...
I did use fixed arps for the triangle, however, I did not with the noise. And I used the Qxx- and Rxx-effect, which resets when the next note is played, no matter if it's done or not.
I really really like this . It's definitely got the Follin groove to it, though I would agree that Speed 3 would be a bit more like it.
Follin's drums were a bit more, say, crisp. The volume drop on them wasn't as linear as the Axx effect. Though his drums tend to vary between songs, they've all got an overall style.
I edited frames 18-1D with different drum instruments for the kick, hats and snare. The Triangle snare was also a bit high, so I lowered its pitch. You'll be able to tell the difference.
Instrumentation was really cool and fresh and follin-like. Some of it felt very Megaman-y though.
EDIT: Also I accidentally fucked with the speed on the ftm I attached, ignore that.
Thank you very much, Radnyx! You really helped me out a lot! I've now made a bunch of edits to your edit:
-Made Follin-ish drums with a shorter Hi-Hat
-Added the actually Follin-ish drums everywhere
-Edited the cymbal
-Fixed some time-based commands in the beginning (Gxx and Sxx) due to the new, faster speed
-Added a smoother transition between the two different speeds
-Changed the triangle snare to be a slightly lower pitch everywhere
-Cleaned up some useless effects
-Added A00 where it was needed
And also, which parts did you think sounded Megaman-y? I'd very much like to change thoose to sound more Follin-ish.
Well I guess it's the slide-y volume-y lead that gives me the megaman vibe. I dunno why, I wouldn't worry about it though cause it sounds good.
Though generally Follin never goes above volume 5-6 for his leads. The reason for this (I'd assume) is for the triangle to be easily heard.

Ah, great tip! Here's an edit with reworked volume control and an A00-effect that I forgot to put in the last frame.
Thank you!
I think it sounds better without increasing the speed.
I personally think it sounds better with having it slower in the beginning part too. But hey, that's probably because I've heard it so many times that way. Anyhow, I added a slower version in the FTM with all of the new edits The only thing I really had to change between this and the faster one was the time-based effects.
