disclaimer: i have no idea where this goes, please don't hate me

Hallå everyone, Rade Dobison (formerly DR0PB33T) here, with a neat idea, at least to me.

Lately I've been kinda strapped for things to do in my spare time, which leaves me kinda bored and staring dully at my screen while listening to music.

So, about two weeks ago, I came under some sudden obsession with a song someone on the forum made (found here), and as I listened to this track continuously for hours on end because I have virtually no life, I began to wonder

What would this sound like played by an orchestra?
So, in my spare time, I made this

So my question/offer is this: Would you be interested in having one of your songs written into orchestral form?

I'd prefer to keep it originals only, but I'd be willing to do a few covers.

So yeah, there's that. Reply with a request, laugh me off stage, whatever you'd like. I just thought it was a cool idea, and something I'd enjoy to do in my spare time

((Edit: Okay also no I didn't really ask M4dek if I could use they're song before I did this, but to be fair they're nearly entirely unreachable. I tried every way I could to ask to use they're music.))

He signs is songs Hertzdevil nowadays but I don't know if he'd still like this old work credited under that old name.

[He lurks the forum so a response should be to follow via other media]

Not necessary. He will most likely already see this thread in due time.

Excellent job! I would be honored if you would take a crack at my work. I'll upload some stuff, and if you like anything you hear, please feel free to orchestrate it. (I would especially like to hear your take on #9 - Staff Roll from DigiPen Application.ftm, which is a medley of the previous songs in the module.)

There's a little thing that I've been working on for a while, that I think would sound pretty cool orchestrated.
(Warning! Songs 13, 15, and 19 are not original!)

It took me a while, but I finally realized there's one song I've made that would sound good orchestrated - Gilda Shmup IV!

I offer it for your consideration.

This isn't dead I promise -- my lack of response was due to my camping trip this weekend. I've picked at least one of all of the choices, and I'm just gonna go down in the order they've been requested. Stay tuned pals, and thanks for your submissions!

Is there any way I could get this in FTM form?

Here ya go.
It's alot more developed than before, mainly because I've been working on it more.
Non-original songs are labeled.

I thought I remembered being able to edit the main post, but maybe I was wrong, or I'm just blind and missing something.

I just finished arranging Modus Ponens' Staff Roll (from Digipen Application), and I'm extremely pleased with how this turned out. I'm really sorry this has kinda been taking a while. A few days after I announced this, we started moving to a new house, so things have been rocky.

Next in line are Perilous Travels, Gilda Shmup IV, and then a song I haven't determined yet from A Bond in the Change of Times.

I'd love to make a Soundcloud/Youtube account for these, and upload them there, but only if the authors are okay with that. Lemme know your thoughts.

In the meantime Staff Roll can be heard here.

Have an awesome day guys!

Fantastic!

Your pace is fine. I'm sure no requesters are expecting speed over quality.

Oh man this was SOOO COOOOOOOOLL!! You did a great job! What a thrill to hear my work orchestrated like that. Bravo! Your vibraphone at 1:02 was brilliant — I never had that in mind, but now I can't hear it any other way — and I love that you knew that I was going for a tubular bell sound at 1:32.

Thanks again for doing this! What a fun treat!
