Yay! I made a decent song that actually took more than 10 minutes to make!

Yeah, I was trying to make a Mega Man 3 noise drum. I did use DPCM but it was too quiet.

DPCM.s quiet?, First export to WAV then Import it to DPCM, then set gain to 12 dB, and it wil loud

Thanks for your tips! I used the 12 dB gain and the DPCM is loud enough now!

Actually, what you should be doing is lower the volume of all the other channels so that your Triangle and DPCM volumes stick out more. For plain 2A03, I recommend both pulses and noise channels to use output volume levels around 9 and A (By which I mean the green blocks under the channel name, which is the volume column and instrument volume combined)

As for the song itself, pulse 2 and noise are very loud, using the max volume of F. The song also gets stale fast, with a lot of repetition without much variety. Consider changing up some of the endings on those patterns, and perhaps try practicing melody and bass flow to sharpen up your song structure: A strong melody and strong bass can very effectively help with a composition: [url=https://youtu.be/5epDVqpwtjw]https://youtu.be/5epDVqpwtjw

Once you can do that, everything else should hopefully come naturally. Hope this helps!

That's really nice! Maybe use more duty cycles and more 'in between' notes.

Finally taking steps forward I see!
This isn't bad. Even though channel utilization and volume control might not be optimal (nobody was certainly good at that in the beginning), you've still made a track that sounds very nice.

But what's going on with the base in the edit you uploaded? It doesn't sound quite right... So I just quickly fixed it for you.

I made some more songs. Now it's an album.
I need comments, criticism, concerns, and questions on the new songs I made.
(Yes, Ready Player! and Adventurous Spirit are awful, I know.)

I agree with MiniMacro. Those other tracks are just hanging out on the module, minding their own business. They're not singled out for display purposes.

MM, you're making some real progress. I suggest that you try composing in another key, though. Sometimes if I hang out in one key for too long, all my stuff starts to sound the same.
