So I recently started making things on famitracker, and I want to get better, so I came here for advice.
I have 3 tracks that I'm done with (song1, song3, and "First Song" ) And they were my first 3 I made. "First Song" is really just my first song that I think is good enough to have a title so thats why it's named strangely!
I also tried making some strange dubsteppy kind of music and I called it 'deflected intelligence'. It's not finished, and probably won't get to be, but I just want to show it because I think it's kind of different.
Anyway, I've said too much, just give them a listen and let me know what I can improve on!
I think they all have potential. I think some of the songs change a bit too much later on; they start off strong with catchy tunes or beats, but then when they change they aren't as catchy, in my opinion.
As far as utilizing the software, I can't help you with that since I'm a noob.
Oh, and deflected intelligence is actually my favorite.
Thanks for the replies (Probably should edit them into one reply though). Maybe I'll go and finish deflected intelligence, but I've kind of gone blank for ideas to change it up.
An edited version I did (quite quickly, only about 5 minutes.) I added DPCM, and added some volume control and vibrato, as the long notes at full volume were kinda painful to listen to. Added some duty cycling as well.
Overall, very good job for a first effort!

...No wait, that's not how it goes.

Thanks, that sounds nice! (However the note slides are really muffled for some reason). I'm not really sure how to even use dcpm so I've just gone with using noise to make my drums.

Oh, it's easy! Just make an instrument, click the DPCM tab, click "import" or "load" if you already have a DPCM sample on your computer, then assign the sample to a key. It's really easy, actually.
