ok, so im a newb at this. i was able to make sense of the program myself.
and im working on my first song.
and what i want is in the begining, the same note to play four times. but when i put the note down and play it, instead of four seperate beeps(which is what i want) its just one long continuous beep, that continues even after the notes have passed.
is there a way to stop this so it will only play the note where i set it to?
all assistance is MUCH apreciated.
ok, i found out how to do that. but now i need some more help.
when i edit one instrument, for some reason, it affects ALL instruments.
i dunno exactly how to explain it,
its kind of like.
i have one instruments mml on:15 14 12 10 9 7 5 4 2 0 .
then i try to put another one on: 15 15 15 15 14 14 14 13 13 13 12 12 12 12 11 11 11 10 10 10 9 9 9 8 8 8 8 7 7 7 6 6 6 5 5 5 4 4 4 4 3 3 3 2 2 2 1 1 1 0 so it lasts a bit longer,
but it sets the first instrument and all others to the same thing.
i hope i explained that right.
bu tyeah.
i dont get it.
When you create your first instrument, you will see that the "sequence select" is set to 0 below the instrument settings box. For each new instrument you create, click the button that says "Select next empty slot". This will pick an empty sequence for you to put in a different volume, arpeggio, etc.
new instruments will automatically select a new blank sequence slot for volume/arpeggio/etc. in new releases, so it'll be less easy to make the mistake.
additionally, as an alternative to volume envelopes, you can also use note-stops in the patterns (you can change the default key this is assigned to.) or use the volume columns of course. depends what you're doing.
