Hi fam I'm new. I didn't see this asked anywhere (as far as titles go) so I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times before.
Part of what drew me to using FamiTracker (as apposed to another DAW) was the ability to put the .nsf files on an actual NES cart.
I'm not asking how to put them on there... Yet...
But instead, does the NES support the expansion modules, or is it just restricted to the default NES module?
I want to make sure before I go and finish a song using it (or not using it!).

NES: No
Famicom: Yes.
PowerPak: Yes, but it's emulated. That's right, emulation on a console.

Emuception. But yeah, expansion chips were only on PAL hardware (Famicom). All the NTSC carts (NES) just had standard 2A03.

There are so many inaccuracies with your post.

Japan = Famicom = NTSC Region. Yes expansions.
Europe = NES = PAL Region. No expansions.
US = NES = NTSC Region. No expansions.

The 2a03 is not a part of the carts. They're part of the game console.

Ok, well, the regions mean that my whole life was a lie. I have been misinformed. and I know that the 2A03 chip was part of the console, I meant they only have 2A03 channels as a result of having no expansions

"The 2a03 is not a part of the carts. They're part of the game console."
The flipside of that (if I'm not mistaken) is that you can't actually play expansion NSFs on Famicom by itself. You need a flash cart with the appropriate expansion chip, or an actual expansion cart and a dedicated NSF player: http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~tns/nr26740601.html
