Hi. I'm MasterYee, and I've been using Famitracker for around 3 years now. I think I'm pretty confortable with it, but I've never shared anything I made with it.

I recently made this, and I felt like sharing it. [url=http://youtu.be/ffo_YY8dcqE]This is the first time I've posted anything I made public, here and on Youtube. Feel free to criticize it, but be nice about it please.

Thank you for your attention, and have a good day.

Fixed the title from "Dive" to "Column Dive."

The reason why the FTM isn't downloadable from here is because I made it with 0CC.

I'm afraid I can't do that, because the FTM isn't compatible with 0.4.6. You're more than welcome to listen off the video I linked, though

Correction: the title is "Column Dive", not "Dive". Still a nice cover, though.

My main complaint is that the arps rub me the wrong way, and that they clash with the melody sometimes, such as at the beginning.

EDIT: How rude of me, I forgot to welcome you. Welcome to FT Forums!

I fixed the title. I don't know what to do about the arpeggios. Replacing them with a single note makes it sound too empty, but you're right about it clashing :/

I'll be honest. I thought this was MMC5 until I saw the expansions list on NSFPlay, so I shat myself when I realized this is pure 2A03.

To fix the problem with the clashing notes, try Pxx effects. Use a P81 or P7F on either the lead or the arps channel whenever you see the notes are clashing, and you'll see how the sound changes. Try experimenting with it until you get the effect you want. This is useful for echoes too!

This is a really good cover btw. Keep up the good work!

Perhaps I have very forgiving ears, but I don't really hear a "clash" anywhere. I think maybe what you all are responding to is the Maj7 intervals between the bass and the melody within the first section. I'm not sure Pxx would do much really, since these edgy intervals are supposed to be there. Maybe the delay effects on the genesis help mask these intervals a bit more, but the original has the same kinda spiciness to it - MasterYee stayed true to the original feel, I think.

But yea anyway, thanks for sharing this! It's a nice cover of a really cool song. Checking out the OST now...

I'm with gyms, I think. Don't really notice any clashing.

But yeah, welcome to the forums! Good work on this cover.

Aww, you guys are so kind <3 Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I don't think I can do anything about the clashing. In the original, the different instruments have different sounds and they blend together better, but here if you use a P7F on it then it sounds odd; if you don't then it sticks out.

Sounds fine to me! No clashing heard at all. Very nice, sounds really good. And yeah, I was totally surprised to hear that it was only 2A03! cRAAYYYY! That's pretty awesome.

Freaking awesome man! I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but yeah, personally I was digging the arps.

I like this. Your use of arpeggio sounds very nice!

Edit: I didn't realize that you used no expantion chips until I had posted this post. Well done!

Is it okay if I upload an ftm made with NSF-importer?
