I've been working on a song, which started just from me playing around, and now I've reached a point where I could use a few pointers. (Before reading on, I suggest you listen to what I've got, which is an attachment to this post.)

I feel like the song starts out decent, but in the last 2 frames it gets a bit weird. However, I feel like those 2 frames have a lot of potential. If anyone would be willing to remix or make suggestions, that would be awesome! :D

There's quite the number of sharps used in this. Do you know what key signature this is in?

Nope. I have absolutely no musical knowledge that would help me with this.

Never played an instrument besides mashing my fists on a piano. :3

I noticed that the lead was playing off of the rhythm a bit. This can sound really good in some places, but I wouldn't do it too much, as it would become hard to follow by the listener. I would edit a few of those notes to play on the beat.

Okay, haha. That's all good. One of my first famitracker originals was almost exactly like this.

I only ask about the key signature because it helps you easily pick your melody and to avoid some "clashing notes" (dissonance).

What I will point out though is that your pulses should never go above, say, A-C in volume (Unless you have a very good reason to). Anything lower is totally fine and it helps you hear the triangle.

Another thing, your fourth pulse channel sounds weird with your first two pulses because they end up playing the same notes at certain moments, and this'll sound weird because rather than sounding like more notes it just either makes it louder or they cancel out.
To fix this you should add a Pxx command which simply offsets the pitch. I used 7F because it's one tiny bit less than 80 (80 is the original note), 81 would have the same effect but raise the pitch just one tiny bit.

I made small adjustments, but hopefully it helps you. I lowered the volume slightly and fixed the phasing.

Thanks Radnyx! While it isn't perfect, yours is certainly a huge improvement over the original. Can't wait to continue working on this tomorrow! For now, though, I'll have to take a break.

Thanks for your help!

Well, This is a take on the song. I hope you don't mind the edit and that you find inspiration on this take.
