Thought this would help me get a better grasp of dynamics in FamiTracker.

Criticism is much appreciated.

Well I think you may be mistaking the word dynamics for balanced frequencies. Dynamics are in terms of volumes, loudness, etc. Balanced frequencies are just ensuring that each and every part of a mix has it's place in the entire frequency range so that one instrument won't mud up or cause phasing issues with another instrument.

Your remake is great too, it's really hard to remake some of those old Konami songs, but you did a great job. The only nit-pick I have is you're not crisping up the snare with a noise channeled hit like the original is. Other than that, GREAT work.

^ Yeah. I've been abusing the word "dynamics" recently, and I've come to almost forget the actual definition, haha.

Also, for accuracy's sake, I updated the downloads with a "crisp" snare support in the noise channel, as well as editing some things in other channels that were off.

The criticism is much appreciated. Thanks, tssf.

It sounds quite good. I haven't been able to hear the original, but this is still a very nice hear.

Great remake, should wish they never took away the feature for sound expansion in the US/EU NES. Is is OK that I Modify it to the MMC5 Chip, So we could get an image of what it may have sounded like if the support for expansion sound wasn't remove?

Go for it, wouldn't mind seeing that myself.

Ok, thanks. Here's a list of things that will change:
1: Bass will be moved to the triangle channel
2: The VRC6 Instruments will be replaced with 2A03 Instruments, of course
3:The DPCM will be the Lagrange Point Samples

Wha, you are back? No?
Okay, so this was once an old thread, now bumped for some reasons...

TSSF, WHERE ARE YOU?

Now, Triflake, what's with the DPCM samples...

Also the cover uses Z00s instead of Z77s.

Those are the actual samples from the game. though I didn't know they used Z00's. I just kind of put something there since in the song the samples sounded louder than they did without a Z modification. Thanks for the tip.

What.
The soundtrack uses three samples only:

1) Bass Drum, Location: $C000, Size: $41
(Note: sample itself has higher pitch, use pitch=8 when assigned in FamiTracker. I have seen worse)

2) Snare Drum, Location: $C040, Size: $201

3) Tom, Location: $C240, Size: $101 (unused in Credits)

There is no 'beginkonami' and the like.

Huh... I have samples right in my folder that are named "AkumajouDensetsu_$C000," "AkumajouDensetsu_$C040," "AkumajouDensetsu_$C240," and "AkumajouDensetsu_$C900." However, I guess looking back I actually didn't use those samples. Weird.
