Recently I started to try and cover the Title Screen of MM3, more specifically the ending part, but because of lack of experience and skill, I can't seem to get the sound control just like the original song, and I also can't really tell if the Vibratos on Pulse 1 are close to the original song either. You can tell which part of the MM3 Title is comes from, but I think it could be a lot better.

I recommend you listen to the FTM at least once before reading on to understand what I'm talking about. It's only 12 seconds long, so I don't think your ears will get raped TOO much.

Pulse 2 seems almost spot on until it gets to the very end of frame 2 starting at the first C#5. Compared to the original, it sound higher pitch, but if I try to go lower, it doesn't sound quite right to me. Is my brain playing tricks on me? Or do I have the wrong set notes placed there? And also, I think the original uses V01 instead of V02, but If I use V1, it clashes to much with Pulse 1 and it doesn't sound good. Change the V02 to 1 if you want to hear what I'm talking about.

As I mentioned before, I can't tell if Pulse 1's Vibratos are off or not compared to the original song. Heck, I don't know If I have it in the right place, let alone the same notes! When I solo the track, the Vibrato sounds alright to me, and when played with everything it sounds ok, but I can't be 100% sure if I'm using the 4xy command correctly or not. (Compared to the original that is) I tried muting Pulse 2 and listening to it with just the Triangle, and actually sounded pretty good in my opinion.

I just wanted something simple for the Triangle, so I just copied the notes from Pulse 1 and hit the play button. Like I said before, with just Pulse 1 and the Triangle it sounds decent, but add Pulse 2 in there it starts to sound clashy. Mute Pulse 1, and Pulse 2 and the Triangle doesn't seem to have any issue with each other, which leads me to believe that most of the problems are coming from the combination of Pulse 1 & 2.

I'm sure that some of you Famitracker "gods" can find more errors and mistakes, that's what I'm hoping, but can you also show / explain ways to fix them? I appreciate it if you point out the mistakes, but it really doesn't help when I don't know how to fix them...

Many Thanks!

Edit: Check the bottom of the read for an updated version!

Oh boy, let me help you bit. I'm gonna upload an FTM module as soon as I can.

Btw, have you ever considered using Audacity? It might help you a lot...

Hm... I actually never thought of using Audacity. I think I'll start using that when doing things like this! Thanks for the advice!

Here you go. I don't think that my instruments are 100% accurate, but at least I gave you some instruments to play with. If you use a software that plays game soundtracks, like foobar2000, you can mute channels, then record with only one channel playing, then to view the result with Audacity. Hope it helps...

Thanks again Warheart for the help! Can't wait to mess with these instruments later! But I do have a question I would like to ask.

What's the point of all those Gxy delays? I would understand if there were one set of delays on one track, but there one both, so, what's the point?
