Hello everyone, I'm a new user here. Been using FamiTracker for a couple of days now and I think I've finished my first work.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated, especialy regarding the technical use of FamiTracker, I still don't quite understand how it all works.:p In particular I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do with the DPCM channel.

Hello and welcome to the Famitracker Forum

This is actually not bad at all for a very first Famitracker Original. The instruments sound pretty good - did you make them yourself or did you get them from somewhere else? BTW - lol, "07 - Crash Bandicoot".
You don't need to type the instrument number into every single line, just select an instrument, type in a note and the instrument ID will be assigned automatically.
About the track itself - it is actually a pretty long piece and has some variarion to it. A very "japanese" tone, I think. It gets a little hectic later on, maybe streamline that a bit.
About the DPCM: Every 2a03 instrument has a "DPCM" tab on the top. It is recommended that your very first instrument is "00 - Blank/DPCM" so you have a blank instrument from the getgo. Then, just select the "DPCM" tab and either load ".DMC" files (NES 1-Bit delta modulated sound files) or import standart ".WAV" files. There are two menus in the DPCM tab - an assign-list on the left and a sample-list on the right. After you loaded/imported your sample(s), you can select a key on the left (i.e. C-3) and a sample on your right, then press the button in the middle pointing left. This will assign this sample to the desired key. Then just exit the instrument editor, select instrument 00 and insert an assigned key in the DPCM channel. For more information and further problems that might occur (like Triangle/Noise influence), check out the Wiki or PM me. I'll attach an example of some samples down below.

Have fun and keep tracking

Thank you for the response :)
About the instruments, I had a go at making my own, hence the multiple "new instrument"s but in the end I just took a bunch from the Post Your Instruments Here thread and used them instead. :p

Your explanation of DPCM was very helpful, thank you. I'll make an effort to use it properly in my next piece.

Wow great first composition. Seems very japanese-inspired. Kinda reminds me of Tohou!
