Hey all. I'm still kinda new to the whole chiptune scene and trackers in general, but I love learning all the technicalities and tricks of this cool way of creating music. I don't know how quickly I'll be posting songs, but I have some more I'll try to finish.

I'll start off with a little thing that I've been working on. It seems a little short but I can't think of any more I can add to it, so for now it just kind of loops strangely. Feel free to improve/play around with it

Let me guess. This is either not your first time making music, or you're some kind of freak of nature. Cause this is AWESOME! The only problem is it's repetitiveness. Have you tried making, maybe, a breakdown, get rid of pulse for a frame, then introduce some sort of melody, and loop back to this for a chorus?

EDIT: Ok, I made a quick edit to demonstrate what I mean. This is just a demonstration.

Thanks for the tips! I took your advice and managed to extend it significantly. I'm very happy with it now!

And you're right, I'm no stranger to writing music, but I wind up fretting over little details so much that I never actually finish anything. It's a bad habit I'm trying to break

I've kinda got that habit, too, I'm afraid. I make everything sound awesome and then forget to make it longer than 30 seconds.

Also, listening to this thing, it is AWESOME! I LOVE that solo! This sounds awesome.

And a very belated thank you!

Here's another song. I had a lot of fun making it!

[Edit: fixed a few small details]

w00t! This is amazing! I love the chord progression! The best part, however, is dat channel management! pure 2A03 sounds great! You can make compositionally great things, and you can manage channels well: Looks like you'll be a pretty good chiptunist.
