I made this in a couple of hours, and it's kinda the first song I actually finished! (that's not a loop)

I know the volume mixing is garbage, but I'm no good at that.

I'd also appreciate any suggestions/constructive criticism!

Wow... its really good, or at least I really liked it, that's good isn't it?

Cant say too much about specific thing regarding FT alone, I'm not that pro at it. But musically speaking the piece is very solid for a non-loop, I really loved the way that at the end every channel is playing, like a whirlwind madness of organized notes and rhythm that suddenly stops into a finishing melody.

You have a really nice composition, at least, for me.

I think you could make better use of the instrument editor to make more diverse instruments in your song. For example, in frames 08 to 0C you have an 00C effect in the second square channel to make an octave arpeggio. It sounds alright but you can make a better sounding arpeggio with the instrument editor by:

making a new instrument
going to the arpeggio setting
and typing "| 0 0 12 12" into the textbox under the sequence editor

You can try examining the instruments other people use in their songs to learn how to make better instruments yourself.

The triangle bass was a bit sketchy in a few frames, but other than that, this song was pretty good especially for a first full song. The melody was really catchy and is currently stuck in my head. With more practice you will get better at mixing and instrument making. I see lots of potential and look forward to what you make next.

Attached is your song with the new arpeggio instrument being used.

I honestly don't know why I didn't use another instrument; doubling the length of each note sounds alot better. Thanks!
