I've recently made this little tune, but I've gone and made it a bit too much I reckon, I don't really know where to go next with it.
Basically I need feedback, please feel free to edit it.
It feels uninspired to me. It all sounds nice together and nothing is out of place and I feel like it has a pleasant identity (good instrument choices, etc), but it feels so by-the-numbers, at least from a first listen. Start basic, add another element, add another element, add percussion, start melody.
Is there a specific use for this piece? Is there a person/event/location that you're thinking of? My advice would be to try and attach something like that to the piece in your mind if you haven't already and hopefully the result will be making it sound more organic, because the talent is obviously there!
you're absolutely right, i've become so obsessed with making the tracker try to sound nice that i;ve completely overlooked the important parts like the melody!
