Ok, so I discovered a horrid lack of internet radio stations with 8-bit music. I know A B C D F M exists, but it doesn't work for me. So, anyway, I took it upon myself to make a VLC/Chrome compatible radio station dedicated to 8-bit music... and it's up! Right now, I have RushJet1's Mega Man remixes and that's it. It's not public yet, because I don't have any other music, and I'm not sure if rushjet is ok with this. If not, I will take it down. But If anyone is willing to have their music on air, lemme know. Post FTMs or PM them to me

Hi there
I'm really interested in a project like this!
How are you planning to organize this? Have a playlist playing a huge folder of audio files on random or having a schedule, maybe have a narrator or something ... ?
Anyways, if you happen to like some of my covers I recently made, you may very well stream them. Please inform me as soon as the service goes up :D
BTW, there are some covers I can't share right now because of the Famicompo Pico. Maybe ask Graypesoda for tracks, I'm a good friend of him and he's coming up with new and great tracks all the time.
So yeah, down below are some of my covers I already uploaded and/or finished and then deemed worthy to be open for the public. When Famicompo Pico is done (and I've finished some more covers), I'll continue and upload them here
Good luck with this project!!

Thanks! Yeah, right now, it's just running the entire playlist (currently all rushjet1 for testing) one loop in shuffle mode. I'll add in some announcer files that will play every once in a while, just saying it's name. Thanks for the covers!

First off, a little confused with the titles. What are the covers that start with crash? They sounds good, but I just don't know where they're from. BTW, songs that have an end are better, but when they don't, I'll just fade them out. Also trying to keep repetitive songs out, like the mm4 ones. A safe rule of thumb would be under, say, a minute. That means that the only ones I'll definitely be using will be the ones that start with crash.
*Also, I didn't realize this until now, but aparently ABCDEFM is down now. Didn't know that.*
EDIT: So, the guidelines for submissions are basically this: No shorter than 1 minute, and is full blown 8-bit. No fakebit.
I'm confused as to why things made with an open source program can be copyrighted.
Because intellectual property (at the very least) is a thing. There have been a few official game soundtracks whose primary tool of creation was FamiTracker. The most well known as of now would be Shovel Knight and The Scott Pilgrim game, and I'm pretty sure Sony isn't all about giving that soundtrack out for free.

Oh, thanks. Guess I got the music and source revisions mixed up (like ipiTracker and UberTracker require the source released to the public, because the original is open source).
Ok, guys! Give a listen: Still just an IP: DNS will come later. http://50.26.4.95:6970/stream.mp3
It's got 101 songs, mainly RushJet1's covers of MegaMan, plus announcer voice which just says "You're listening to CH3DD4R's 6502 radio!" boring ly and in a low quality voice synth. But hey: Radio.
Pro tip: Plug that IP into VLC for better sound quality. It sitll works in web browsers though
EDIT: It has come to my attention that the majority of songs here on FT forums are under Creative Commons. However, that being said, if you are listening, and you hear your song, and you for some reason don't like that, let me know, and I'll take it down.
Also, if the radio goes down, it should be up quickly. This is still in early testing.

Ok, didn't find those in all my searching. However, what I was looking for was a VLC compatible one. This one is not. Also, the first one doesn't even work for me. Plus, not even full 8 bit

Ok, quick update. The radio station is now stable. It shouldn't randomly go down when I'm working on it, I can add music seamlessly, and I'm getting dedicated hardware for it soon, for when I need to reboot my PC, or when it crashes. I'll be adding some music of my own, but just post here or PM me if you wanna add your own. And spread the word, cause I have no advertising.
