Definitely hearing some improvements from the previous track! However, don't forget some things I demonstrated in the previous song:
- Turn on vibrato (4xy) whenever notes hold out for long times. Don't forget to disable them with 400, though.
- Make sure that the volume output level is around 9 or A (10) volume. Pay attention to the green blocks under the channel name, because that's the output volume level. Make sure your harmony/countermelody (typically what you did on pulse 2) is lower volume than the actual melody, so it sticks out more.
- Try to use echo whenever you're not playing an actual note on Pulse 1/2. "-" chops off the note and "=" releases it, and you can configure that in FamiTracker's File>Config menu (bottom right of General tab). Also, don't forget that Sxx can do the same as "-" but lag it by a few frames, so I recommend using Sxx on the triangle channel instead of "-" for most cases.
- V03 (75% pulse) is actually an inverse of V01 (25% pulse), and I'd personally recommend using V01 instead.
- D00 isn't necessary on a pattern that ends with Bxx.
- Slightly detune with Pxy to P7F or P81 to avoid some bad phasing from playing notes playing nearby pitches.
Also, in terms of the composition itself:
- Having a kick/snare is great, though I think you could benefit from using hihats in-between (use D-# with instrument 02 in that FTM) Also, play the noise channel's kicks and snares around 9/A output volume too, and try to very slightly change its volume each note it plays for a very subtle variety to make it sound more realistic.
- Try adding a harmony or countermelody on pulse 2 during pattern 01 through 04.
- While I mentioned to enable vibrato on the longer notes, I think some of the notes hold too long in general, and could benefit from more "=" release commands, just moments before you're playing a new note (so like a row or 2 above the next note). Try to vary between vibrato and echo release, though.
- Not sure why you made the row count 127 and not 128, because a couple of your patterns were one row too short of a full measure, so some notes dragged on into the next pattern.
Please try referring to the previous song to see how I did all of the things I listed above, and good luck!
