Hi guys. I'm a 15 year old who is very interested in 8 bit music and im using famitracker today and I I'm working on remaking the intro theme from Mega Man V for game boy but when I hit the note (A-3 00) I want that note to be played at a lower octave. (I tried the V00 but that doesn't work really) any comments, questions, advice or suggestions?(it's an emergency)I really want to but this on YouTube and hopefully it'll be in a Mega Man 8-Bit Death Match source update soon.
I'm not sure what you're asking exactly, but Num/ and Num* are used to lower/raise the current working octave by one.

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to [url=http://www.famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3633]request a hardware render.
Octaves are not controlled by effects. At the top of the screen, there is a drop down box that says 'Octave' next to it. You can also shift octaves down and up by pressing / and * on your number pad respectively.
Okay, Tabix, so instead of an A-3 (A note, octave 3) you want an A-2 (one octave down)?
As stated, use the Octave dropdown list on the toolbar to change the octave of notes you type in. Alternately, you can change the current octave by using the * and / keys (these are by default mapped to increase/decrease octave).
If you want to adjust the octave later, you'll have to select notes and then use the Edit menu to Transpose them by an octave -- useful when tweaking, but when you're scoring the initial notes double-check your current octave to make sure you're hitting the right one.
