Anyway, what's up, FT Forum? I've been neglecting this place (and Famitracker itself) for a while, and all of a sudden I got this song stuck in my head and managed to finish a cover of it all in one sitting - by ear, no less. I think it came out pretty nicely considering, although unfortunately it doesn't actually sound all that different since the original was styled to sound 8-bit anyway.
Enough of my rambling, enjoy my music (or don't. I'm a forum post, not a cop).
Right? I'm pretty sure this was painfully outdated in 2010. His other big game, The Binding of Isaac, is no better with all the memeing, and that just got a remake this year with all of THAT sort of thing intact.
If you figured the bass was maybe a bit strong, or that I was wasting a lot of channel space, you're absolutely right on both counts. Here I've squished the song into 2A03, and it works about as well since I wasn't even using any fancy VRC6 waveforms (other than the saw bass).
