So all two of you who checked my thread when I first started tracking may remember I had been brought on as the composer of a fan game. Well, I've taken the advice given to me into account, and I've improved since then, and gotten some real work done on this soundtrack.
For information about the development of the game, check out the following threads:
I'd like to keep this thread dedicated as much as possible to discussion about the music, as this is a music forum. All updates about the game itself will be posted to these three sites.
Now, onto the main course, the music. 10/45 songs have been completed thus far, so as you can see, there is a lot of work left to be done. This is why I'm enlisting some more talent, to spread out the workload and to get some varied sound in the OST.
As for the completed themes...
Title (#03)
Menu (#04)
Stage Start (#9)
Grime Man (#14)
Tome Woman (#15)
Cleanse Woman (#1
RM Boss Theme (#19)
Stage Clear (#20)
Big Eddie (#23)*
Cutscene 2 (#25)
*I'm still not totally satisfied with the sound of this cover, and I may make some major edits to it
So that's pretty much the jist of what's been done so far. Feel free to leave any criticisms in the thread, and if you're interested in joining, please PM me for the info. (I know the forum software can be totally bork'd sometimes, so if for some reason that doesn't work, you can also reach me on Skype. Screen name is Threxx.)
EDIT: Derped and forgot to attach the FTM... it's there now.
Well ... not bad. I like the melody of many of them - although I don't think it's Megaman-Styled too well. It's got potential, that's for sure.
But here's an Idea: If you ask littlelamp100, he might (or might not, I don't know ^^) give you permission to use tracks from his Megaman LL soundtrack. If this was the case, I'd say your sondtrack is 2/3 done!
Anyways - I might help covering some existing tracks or cleaning up here and there, but yeah - good luck finding composers!

Well... why not? I don't own copyrights to it or anything (I kind of can't... I'm too young :/). I really don't have a problem with it.
I really do like what you have so far, and since every Mega Man game has its own style, maybe this can be the InFamous Intent style! These songs are really catchy, too. And again, good luck to you!
Here's a little weapon get theme for you.

Why can't I come up with a creative signature?
Tracking must've stripped me clean of creative ideas.

I try my darnedest, but I do want to try to establish some of my own style in writing this soundtrack, so it might not be perfect.

It would be awesome if I could use some of the tracks from MMLL (some of them are pretty fitting) but it wouldn't stop you from writing anything new either...
If you can find the time, that would be great. The short song you did for MM2.5D was pretty catchy.
Heh, thanks!
You know, the problem that I have with my own originals is that I'm a perfectionist. If there's anything that I dislike about something that I've composed, then I'll immediately throw it in trash can, yeah, I'll take Mega Man songs that seriously and exactly the reason why you don't see any 'Warheart Stage' videos. That Stage Select song is probably the only song that I'm proud of, even if it's a stupid 4 pattern loop.
You know what, I might actually throw in a Kevvviiinnn song, if that's OK with you?
As for what Kevvviiinnn song I'm currently thinking of, I think I'm gonna keep it as a secret for now =P

That's totally cool. I would like to know what you have in mind, since I would need to find a place for it in the game. You can PM it to me if you like... or it can be mysterious. I'm down with that too.

I don't want to spoil the fun, but I can at least tell you that I personally think that the song could fit both as a RM or Wily theme, but mostly Wily.

I really like the concept of this fangame. It seems really different. I'm gonna see if I can contribute to this on top of everything else. Probably Cosmic Man.

Added the ending theme and two instruments. It's just a start, so it's okay by me whether you want to keep or scrap this. If we choose to keep this, I'll try to continue it. Anyone else who wants to continue it may do so as well.

In all honesty, it's very far from Mega Man style, it feels a lot closer to something from a Zelda game than a Mega Man game...
In all honesty, it's very far from Mega Man style, it feels a lot closer to something from a Zelda game than a Mega Man game...
Yeah, I can see what you're saying. I've just started surfacing through some Mega Man stuff, so perhaps I'll see what I can do sometime into the future.
I started working on Cosmic Man as soon as ideas started popping up in my head, so let me know if you think it's worthy enough to be a part of this.
The dude who designed Cosmic Man said he wanted something akin to Star Man's theme, this is pretty good...
The volume balancing is kinda out of whack. You might want to bring the lead down to about B-C volume level, and the percussion slightly higher.
