when i write a song that requires actual structural consideration and not just writing diarrhoea in a ohb i often find a major roadblock in my workflow is finding where exactly i am in a song. remembering music in terms of sections ("the start of the solo") is far more intuitive and easy to recall than "pattern 2F" or whatever. yet at current, my only way of navigating through my entire song looks like this:

i'm pretty used to trackers but just looking at this gives me a ton of eye strain. being able to properly mark out important bits of songs is extremely vital when i am listening back to a song for improvements (as i do) and trying to pinpoint exact places in which each thing happens.

you'd be able to change the colours by hovering over the row, or uhh, on the right click dropdown or whatever. there'd be a few hardcoded colours you could pick from

I know what I'd use it for: Keeping track of which frames in a song are complete and which ones are still in-progress. It gets really hard to remember this once you hit about the 80% mark....
