Hey you guys, I've been messing around with Famitracker for a month now; and I've gotten okay at the basics of Famitracker. Due to time restraints, I've decided to cast my fate on the Internet. Hopefully my faith in humanity will be restored.
Okay, enough beating around the bush; I need musical pieces and you guys have the talent.
The videogame plot includes an Office worker cast into a surreal world with mysterious monsters and bosses. Although strange, everything is weirdly familiar; implying that he might be comatose or under a spell. The platformer will be very action-y and under very surreal tones, so I'd like a mixture between psychedelic tones and megaman-like music. pleez halp, thank you internet.
Yeah if the dev doesn't have control over these time constraints I wouldn't be too hasty to board that ship.
Please know that whenever this kind of thing comes up on these forums, that it's pretty much mandatory to discuss what rights will be in place for the music and what kind of compensation will be worked out. If your answers are flat out "no" then do not expect the forum members to be polite in return.
When precisely is the deadline?
Will the composer keep full rights to the music?
Will the game be monetized?
What is the terms of compensation?
And some more important questions ...
Have you ever developed a game?
Are you a kid with "GameMaker" in your poket or are you serious?
Is this a spontaneous "just for fun"-Idea or will this have a realistic chance of ever being a thing?

Besides that, these kinds of posts of newer ppl who come on and ask for music for their "game" just get denied.
Then the post turns into a giant argument because the newcomer didn't the music he wanted.
Never ask for music is you're barely new to the forums, you'll never receive a warm welcome.
The deadline is in February and its a serious kind of thing, this isnt, make-a-game tutorial kind of stuff, but I'm developing in unity and quite fluent in C#. Over keeping full rights to the music, I'm very flexible in giving full rights to the music, and will definitely add a credits section to the people who colaborate with me. The game, as of present, will not be monetized, but will be free to play. As terms of compensation, I'm sorry, but i can't offer anything. I've developed a few things but this is my first full on attempt at a game. I stumbled upon Famitracker and loved it at first sight. I've seen the talent of people here and its good. You guys can expect a demo in probably a month, of course without music. X) Thanks for you guys' advice and I'm not one to shy away from critisism, I'll try to create more original content on FamiTracker; and I'll get a little more experience. If any you guys are still interested with working with me I'll be happy to answer anymore questions.
All my original music is licenced under CC-BY-SA unless otherwise stated.
That said, what exactly makes you think that everyone here is gonna give you free music?
