So I decided to make an FDS instrument pack of vowels and semivowels capable of replicating human vocals and I'm out of room for instruments =O If you implemented this then it would be really appreciated!

Wait, you said voice synthesis. Okay, I can see how that might be too many phonemes....
I think that would be a huge change in both Famitracker (expand the instrument column) and nsf driver. Do you really need them?
What's worse is that voice synthesis requires that you resample frequently to retain realistic formants. Maybe if someone could implement the formant feature on the Genesis or the OPNA then that would be cool, too...

Perhaps you should also look at Action 52's PCM samples. It's more than capable of playing phonemes of any language with greater clarity than normal. If this were to be implemented into FamiTracker (which I highly doubt,) it would be a blessing.

I object to this - having a lot of instruments (when organised properly, anyway), is not a bad thing by any means. I'd love to see more instruments available to be used in FamiTracker. We ran out of space for instruments a couple times with MMTT (we later optimized things down the line, but still), so having more than 64 instruments would've been handy then.
It's the same thing as when people rejected the idea when someone wanted more than 99 mixer inserts in FL Studio. The response was "who the hell needs that many" - that's not the point, it's about just having it in case you NEED more than what you're given, and the person needed more for what he was doing, just like poodle needs more than 64 instruments for what he's doing. It'd hardly be amiss.

Ooh... can you send me links to said samples?

On what chip and what tracker? Because if you're not joking theres no way this is possible here.
Unless you figure out a way to somehow use the VRC7's 2 (not 4, which is what CSM works with) operators completely independently.
64 instruments is more than enough for the vast majority of small projects, but larger multi-track modules can start feeling pretty tight after a while.
+1 for more instruments!

On the topic of FDS, I think one thing that should be added is the instrument functionalities of N163 with FDS (wave bank, MML defined waveforms, etc.)
MML defined waveforms, etc.
That was there in older versions, but jsr decided to take it out. You can still enter an MML string by typing it in notepad and copying, but it's not as convenient as the N163 one of course, because it's not easy to make precise edits in the wavetable itself, the steps being very tiny. You also don't see what value they are exactly.

Left-click and you should see a selection for line or steps, It doesn't save what you choose, and it's still imprecise, but it gives you a better idea of where each sample is.
