Though I do remember the lead sounding pretty weird in the original. In your cover it's got a basic sounding tone, I think could use a duty cycle and or arpeggio maybe.
Also I see you have DPCM loaded but unused, did you have trouble getting it to sound right?
I am pretty impressed. I actually tried to do this song once, but got stopped up all over the place by both its drums, and instrumentation.
As far as notes go, I'm pretty sure you've got it spot on. Instrumentation could use a bit of work, and parts that are supposed to be harmonies seem to be brought a bit too much to the front towards the end, but other than that... If I had to make any suggestion, it'd be to adjust all the channel's volumes so that you can make use of some of those nice DPCM samples you've got in there. I messed with it a bit, and even as is, they kinda help fill out the drumline a bit. Especially so at the beginning with the orchestra hits.
