So, nobody probably knows this song since I couldn't even find a video on Youtube.
Kinuyo Yamashita (Castlevania, MegaMan X3) did the soundtrack for the GBC version of Croc 2.
The game itself I played as a kid. It was alright, but overshadowed by the PS1 version and whatever. I distinctly remember this track from the game, so I decided to cover it.
This is a pretty good cover sound-wise, but other than that it's wholly inaccurate.
The release times of the pulse channels are consistently off and the volumes are all wrong (they should be 8 and 2 rather than 15 and 6), and the noise sounds barely anything like it does in the original. Also, about the wave you used...
If using the N163 (which is much better for GB music seeing as it uses exactly the same sized wavetable), the correct wave is:
11 15 13 12 13 12 11 9 6 4 3 2 3 2 0 4 11 15 13 12 13 12 11 9 6 4 3 2 3 2 0 4
If using the FDS like you did, the values should be doubled in length and multiplied by 4 (example: "11" becomes "44 44"
Since the values of the waveform seem to repeat twice, you could (if you want) change the size to 16.
The wave would look like this:
11 15 13 12 13 12 11 9 6 4 3 2 3 2 0 4
If you've enabled more than 4 Namco channels, it could be useful if you're using more than 4 different waveforms at the same time.

Yeah, I know... I wasn't really focusing too much on accuracy. I was thinking about getting the actual GB waveform, but I didn't want to work too much on this.
But really, it's pretty short and I may as well do it since I don't have anything else to do.
I actually had the volume much lower when I started but I made it louder for no real reason. All the releases everywhere as well.
The noise channel on the other hand all I had really focused on was the rhythm.
I almost never do covers and this is probably the first I've actually completed (note-wise at least). It would probably do me some good if I looked at some of the actual data next time.
I'm glad that people give worthwhile criticism around here, I probably would've just left it as-is, honestly. Thanks.
