"* DPCM samples used: 0 (7360 bytes)"

is this old news? I can't work out how to get this memory back, or whether it is being put to good purpose.

the NSF file is approaching 32k and has sixteen separate tracks, mostly complete, none of which should have anything happening in the DPCM channel at all.

Hi and sorry, it looks like a bug and nothing to worry about. Samples are usually stored at $C000, but in this case it's moved to $DCC0 due to the amount of songs, and that confuses it to report the space in between as samples instead.

thanks man. i hoped it was something like that.

also I want you to know that it's no longer a problem - I tried letting 0.3.0 build the NSF and it did so without complaint, without reproducing the bug and even optimising the file by 10k! So I guess I'll be embracing the most recent version of my favourite tracker
