Pretty cool
I like the lead guitar - it sounds very much like Mega Man X ^.^

I've edited in my own samples - they're recorded from a real drumkit and I hope you like them. If you do so, you can use them. If not, just scrap 'em ^^

Good luck with this project - it's got loads of potential and I really want to see it finished :D

Aight thank you SO much. I really like your samples btw, I might actually do something different with them if that's alright with you. I've actually changed around quite a bit of stuff since i posted this, sort of keeping the main melody but changing the main riff completely to sound less repetitive. Tell me what you think man!!

Awesome :D
I'm REALLY loving the melody of this. It sounds really epic alltogether. It's like a real rock-concert perfectly transformed into an 8 Bit track!

I'm going to into a little more detail now:
The bass accompany on the 2a03 pulses sounds gorgeous, really well done. This tune has a real strong bass alltogether, just a little hint: Give the sawtooth it's own exclusive instrument. Reusing it with a pulse channel might create problems because the duty cyle determines the volume range of the sawtooth - having an uneven duty cycle and a volume higher than five will result in an ugly distortion.
The percussion ... aw yeah, that percussion! The first time around, Tri + Noise wasn't utilized to a full extend - that's why I added my samples. by the way, use them when ever you like. That's what they are for :D Now, in this version, the Noise+Tri-Percussion sounds just about perfect.
And now - the main lead. I refer to my statement above, the melody sounds just epic. It's paced perfectly and really rounds like rock in it's best days.

I've been trying and improve the instruments a little. You know, the VRC6 has 8 whopping duty cycles. So, I tried and transfer a few Commodore 64 - like techniques onto your track. I think your instruments could sound even better like this

Anyways, keep tracking. That's some good stuff right there

HOLY CRAP. DUDE. That instrument is sounding so so so epic. I think the song is finally complete with the instrument changes. But do you think you could explain the sawtooth thing in more detail? I'm not sure i understand what you mean

No problem
And seriously - that "I don't have what it takes"-attitude is absolutely venomous for every form of talent. You've gotta start out small to become better with more time and attempts. And as of right now - You, Sir, already are pretty damn epic.

About the sawtooth:
The Saw channel (not the one where the little psycho-puppet is talking ^^) has a volume range of 0-63, opposed to the 0-15 steps almost every other channel has (except the F***ING Triangle, I hate that thing >_< ). Anyways, since you can only enter values from 0-F into the volume column, Famitracker uses a little trick: First, every volume step represents two Sawtooth volume units. If you then set the duty cycle to an uneven number (so that the last Bit is set), there will be an offset of 32 so you can reach the values up to the max. But you can also go over the top with the Saw, which means the Saw counter (contrary to the DPCM counter, which just cuts off) clips back to Zero. You can see this in the example below. Keep an eye on the wave display on the top ^^

If you've got any technical questions, need an Instrument or effect, just PM me or check out the Famitracker Wiki

I've got a couple more songs; some are unfinished and some are finished. I'll be posting them soon so you should check them out! Dang dude if everyone critiqued and reviewed the way you did, composers would be happier LOL. You offered help, told me what was good and what was bad but didn't JUST tell me the bad. I want to thank you man. If you do any famitracker work id love to critique it for you; I know a good deal about how things sounds and such, but not so much the technical aspects. Anyway thanks again
