ALL credit goes to warbeast for several instruments and a lot of the patterns. As good as his cover was it seemed a little messy, so I wanted to clean it up. Leave your thoughts!

Some of your instrument definitions look suspiciously like Warheart's (down to exact volume curves in some cases). If you derived your version from theirs, you'd better state that up front so everyone knows (plaigarism can get you banned real quick).

Nonetheless, this does sound cleaner than Warheart's original, the drums seem more prominent and the lead part has a more NES-like sound.

To me, this feels weaker than Warheart's version. Except the last two frames.

Well i could agree it's definitely less busy than his. But I just wanted to me it easier to listen to. Can you tell me what's weak about it?

Sometimes you can point to specifics and other times it's just a gut feeling.

Let's see ... some of the fine points I can opine on:
- Various notes in your lead part are too legato. Maybe add some note releases just before the next note strikes -- wait, their instrument definitions don't even have release sequences, do they? Alternately, you can substitute a momentary channel volume drop for a note release.
- When the song loops, there seems to be a drop in perceived (or at least anticipated) overall song volume, as if the melody isn't loud enough. This makes me wonder why your instrument volume curves don't cap out at F? (That is literally the only difference between instruments 2 and 8.)
- VRC Pulse 2 feels too quiet during the second half of the song. Some of the notes seem to disappear right in to the other channels.

This might be the first time anyone has said that my work is messy... interesting...

Ever since people started uploading their own simple versions of my module, I'm starting to feel like people are giving me the middlefinger...
This is probably the last time I upload anything Mega Man related to this forum!

To be perfectly honest, this VRC6 version sounds weak and sloppy. Yours still sounds much better.

no dude! Seriously i couldnt create what you did. But the "messiness" is just my opinion; I highly doubt everyone thinks your song is messy on this forum, lots of people have pointed out that mine is pretty messy

Maybe you're seeing it as messy because you haven't used the tracker long enough. To me and probably a lot of us, all that stuff in his module is pretty clear. You'll have to get used to it since a lot of modules will have that "messiness" because of their complexity, even though they're never too complex to achieve that (except for very rare cases).

yeah ive been using Famitracker for almost a year now. But hey it's just an opinion! I've had no music theory lessons or tutorials on famitracker. The criticism is welcomed, as that's how i get better :P
