Hello, this is the first track I made on famitracker. I'm still trying to get a grasp on the program, so any advice is appreciated. I tried to make this cover as close to the original as I could. Took about 3 or 4 hours.
On a side note, I had a really rough time doing the melody by ear and I resorted to referencing the nsf converted to a ftm via the nsf importer. I know, it's kind of cheating, however it felt like it took an eternity to figure out what note was being played. Any advice on how to identify notes via ear?
Another side note, any tips on identifying or emulating instruments? There's something about the first pulse channel that sounds off compared to the original. Also, I snatched the samples from the original nsf, muhahaha.
Lastly, I can't seem to get it to loop smoothly, how do?

Hey, nice cover! Welcome to the forums! The instrumentation is a little bland, but then again, first track, you'll get there. As for the looping issue, the bxx effect was placed one row too low. Here, this'll show you what I mean. The reason for this is that it play's the note on the bxx line before going to the first row. In a situation like this, though, the Dxx effect would work just as well; It ends the frame and loops with ft's usual loop, while b07 jumps to a frame specified, skipping the usual loop process.
